The first national "Chef's Garden" competition, promoted by the Blue Flag Association of Europe (ABAE), within the scope of the "Green Key" program, was won by Quinta do Martelo – Ethnographic and Gastronomic Center, on Terceira Island, Azores.
This competition promotes and publicizes the vegetable gardens of candidates for the 2015 "Green Key" award, who cultivate according to the principles of organic farming, thus serving as a model of sustainability in the environment where they carry out their activity, and of involvement of guests, staff and the local community, contributing to environmental and food education.
